Fort Hawkins Public Walking Tour – a 1.5 hour public “easy walking” history tour that focuses on Fort Hawkins, the first non-indigenous site of Macon, Ga. The Fort Hawkins tour is held every Saturday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. beginning at Fort Hawkins’ Visitor Center at 736 Emery Highway (31217). The cost of this tour is $20.00 per person with a portion of the proceeds supporting the Fort Hawkins Foundation, Inc. PUBLIC KEGS & STILL BREWERY & DISTILLERY WALKING TOURS: Operates Monthly on Saturday Afternoon

Kegs & Still Public Walking Tour – a 2.5 hour public “easy walking” tour that focuses on Macon’s two breweries and distillery: Fall Line Brewing Co., Long Leaf Distillery, & Ocmulgee Brewpub. The Kegs & Still Tour is held one Saturday a month from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. beginning at Long Leaf Distillery at 664 2nd St (31201) and offers guests behind the scene time with the brew masters while sampling four libations of the brewer’s choice at each location. The cost of this tour is $40.00 per person. PUBLIC MUSIC HISTORY WALKING TOURS: Operates Every Friday Evening

Free Birds & Night Owls Public Walking Tour – a 2 hour public “easy walking” music history tour that focuses on the downtown Macon commercial / nightlife district that is held every Friday night from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The Free Birds & Night Owls tour begins at Grant’s Lounge at 576 Poplar St. (31201) where guests of the tour are allowed free entrance to the club to enjoy a drink, see Grant’s Lounge’s renowned Wall of Fame, and potentially great live music and ends at the Rookery at 543 Cherry St. (31201). The cost of this tour is $20.00 per person and guests are allowed to carry open containers in approved cups purchased from one of downtown Macon’s many restaurants or clubs. To book go to www.rockcandytours.com > Reservations > Free Birds & Night Owls Public Walking Tour

PUBLIC “MACON MACABRE” WALKING TOURS: Operates Monthly on Friday Evening

Macon Macabre Public Walking Tour – a 1.5-hour public “easy walking” ghost, murder, & mayhem history tour that focuses on the downtown Macon commercial / nightlife district that is held once a month on a Friday night (except Halloween season, of course) from 8:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. The Macon Macabre tour begins at Just Tap’d at 488 First St. and ends at Parish on Cherry at 580 Cherry St. (31201). The cost of this tour is $20.00 per person and guests are allowed to carry open containers in approved cups purchased from one of downtown Macon’s many restaurants or clubs.  Please note that the open container ordinance allows for open containers Friday nights from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. only. Private Free Birds & Night Owls Music History Walking Tour – a 2 hour “easy walking” tour that focuses on the downtown Macon commercial / nightlife district. The Free Birds & Night Owls Private Walking Tour begins at the location of your choice but we recommend Grant’s Lounge at 576 Poplar St. (31201) where guests of the tour are allowed free entrance to the club to enjoy a drink, see Grant’s Lounge’s renowned Wall of Fame, and potentially great live music as long as the tour takes place during Grant’s Lounge normal hours of operation which is 5:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. every night. The cost of this tour is $120.00 for up to six people with an additional cost of $15.00 per additional person. Private Intown Rock N’ Roll Stroll Music History Walking Tour – a 2.5 hour “more strenuous walking” tour that focuses on the Intown residential district of downtown Macon. The Intown Rock N’ Roll Stroll begins and ends at H&H Soul Food Restaurant at 807 Forsyth St. The cost of this tour is $150.00 for up to six people with an additional cost of $20.00 per additional person. Private Step on Music History Riding Tours – **HIGHLY RECOMMENDED** Our most comprehensive tour where you provide the transportation and Rock Candy Tours provides the guide.  Step on tours generally last between 2 and 3 hours depending on how often the group wants to disembark and take pictures, see the sites, etc. but if you want, our guide will spend “all day” with you!  You select the date, starting time, ending time, starting location, and ending location.  The cost of a step on tour is $8 per person with a $120.00 minimum. Private Rose Hill Cemetery Ramble – available as an add-on to any of the aforementioned private tours above, the Rose Hill Ramble generally lasts about an hour and can be added for an additional $40.00.  See where Duane Allman, Gregg Allman, and Berry Oakley of the Allman Brothers Band are buried in addition to many of the locations used for the Allman Brothers Band’s album cover photo shoots and the graves that provided the names to, and inspiration for, many of their most popular songs.  A must see for all Allman Brothers Band fans.
